Personal Statement
My name is Charlie Jandak and I am a 6'2" offensive guard and defensive end for Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, Il. I started at left tackle on the sophomore team as a freshman, and as left tight end on the varsity team as a sophomore. Both of those seasons prepared me for my junior year as a starting left guard for Rochelle.
For me, academics come first. Right now, I rank 3rd in my class and have a gpa of 4.385/4.0. Also, I achieved academic all state honors during my junior season. I have always worked hard in the classroom in order to better myself, and I am looking for a school that will put me in the greatest position to succeed academically.
Football is also very important to me. As a player and a member of the Rochelle Football Leadership Council, it is my job to keep a competitive atmosphere on the football field and to make sure everybody is together off the field. By that I mean staying up tempo and competitive at practice. Every play is 100%. Off the field, I make sure to try and organize team breakfasts, outdoor activities, and hangout days to keep the team as one. The more of a family a team is, the better the team plays. Our coaches motto is Team Together, and I stand by that completely. Any complaints or issues are dealt with by me and the other leadership council members. My coach can rely on me to be a leader of the football team.
