Josh Drog '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3" 215 pound defensive end/wide receiver, in the class of 2019 at Rockford Christian High School.  I have played on the Varsity Football team since my Freshman year, and was also a JV Team Captain last season.  Currently, I am a starting weak side defensive end on Varsity and a 2nd String wide receiver.  My cumulative GPA is 4.31, and I am enrolled in both High School Honors and AP classes.

The sport of Football has been a blessing to me and I hope to continue playing during my college years.  I am looking for a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically, while providing opportunities for me to advance in a career in Criminal Justice.  I hope to attend a University that will permit me to pursue a military career through ROTC, while also participating in athletics.  My desire to serve and succeed as part of a team, and to develop myself as both a leader and as a person,  is definitely based upon the experiences I have had in athletics.  I have always pushed myself to be the best at everything I do, no matter the cost, and to never give up on something I love.  Football has been a passion of mine since I was a child, and I have always dreamed of playing at the collegiate level.  I desire to attend a school where I may compete with other athletes who are as equally passionate and driven as myself.  I will not guess at this point what level of college sports I am best suited for, but rather I will welcome opportunities to discuss my future with all coaches who are interested. Finally, I must say that Football will always remain a huge part of my life, and I strive to compete and succeed at the highest level that I possibly can.
