My time at Saint Joseph High school have taught me a lot. During my tenure I have had success, but I have also had losing seasons that have humbled me. My sophomore year I was a part of a football team that made history. It was the first time in school history where they had a winning record and made the playoffs. Being a part of that accomplishment made me want to change my work ethic so I could be the best player and leader for my team. Not just for football but for baseball as well. It did not matter to me that I wasn’t the oldest on the field, to me anybody could be a leader if they have the right mindset.
I have also had losing seasons record wise for both sports. There were times where it seemed nothing could work, but I was still determined to turn the season around, I never gave up hope. My teammates would follow me and we were able to always finish the season on a high note. The mindset and work ethic I have are the reasons why I have been a captain in for four years, and an all conference player in both sports.
