I believe through hard-work and dedication I can go anywhere in life. I am a good candidate for your team because I will push myself to the limit to succeed. Since my freshman year, I have lived in the weight room, and increased my weight limit exponentially. Through the great sport of football, I have learned valuable leadership skills, gained a strong work ethic, and developed the determination to endure no matter the score on the scoreboard. Babe Ruth once said, "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up." I'm not only a hard-worker on the football field but also in the classroom. I have managed to exceed a 3.57 Cumulative GPA while taking AP and Honors classes throughout my high school years. I may not have the outstanding plays of some but I possess something just as valuable - the drive, work ethic, and determination to succeed despite the odds. Many people at my age do not have these qualities. I will fight for a spot if it is not mine, overcome the obstacles in my way, and put a team on my back when the times get tough. It is said that "big players make big plays in big time games" and my highlights can show you when I make those plays. This is why I am the best candidate for your team.
