Personal Statement
Winning only 2 of my first 20 games as a high school football player really made me understand that you can’t take anything for granted. I had never had a losing season coming into high school in any sport I played whether it be football, basketball, or baseball. Those first two seasons gave me the realization that everything I do as a student and an athlete has to be for a purpose. This lead me to hone in my technique as a player and focus my efforts on the field on becoming a capable college level kicker.
I am fortunate enough to have parents who both competed at a high Division 1 level in football and gymnastics. I believe they instilled in me the necessary tools to become a successful athlete early in my life, teaching me the correct work ethic, leadership skills, and all around character a student athlete should have. As a freshman, I was both the starting quarterback and kicker for our team and served as a team captain. I am looking for a program in which I can excel in the classroom and on the field. I believe that I not only have the talent to play college football, but also the drive and determination to make an immediate impact on your program!
