Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Connor Andras and I attend Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana. I'm 16 years of age and am a sophomore that played at the varsity level this year. I am 6'2" and weigh about 215 pounds and played strong side linebacker this year. My team won the Sectional 1 title this season and played in the Regional Championship game but lost to the eventual state runner-up, the Penn Kingsman. I have been playing football now for nine years and hope to continue my career throughout college at a high level such as division 1. I can offer a team leadership in a way where if someone is messing around at a time where we need to get serious, I will say something to them and set them straight. Also, I believe that I am a very hardworking individual because, I am currently running track to increase my speed and every day after practice I go straight to the weightroom and make sure i get my work done. Even when track is not practicing or in the offseason of both sports, I am always in the weightroom trying to improve my strength and get bigger, stronger, and faster. Finally, I have a drive that is unmatched by anyone. I have never wanted anything more in my life than to play football at the college level. I have always wanted to play football in the Big 10, SEC, or ACC. These conferences have some of the best programs in the country and has competition unmatched by any other football schools in the nation as well. I would love to attend a rather large school because I communicate with all different types of people really well and love being around many people at the same time. At one of the schools that I will hopefully be attending in the near future, I would want to study sports medicine. Even when I am old and gray, I still want to be involved with sports as much as I can. Sports gave me good traits that I will have for my whole life and I would like to give a little something back to them in the future. Lastly, my realistic goals when I hit the college level are to play at the highest competition level possible. By doing this, hopefully I can make an impact on the team that I play for and help the team to the best of my ability. My desire to play division 1 football is unbelievable. I have been dreaming about playing at this level for my whole life and never wanted anything more than to do so. Playing division 1 football would be the greatest thing in the world for me and would fufill my dream of becoming a college football player at a big school. If granted the chance to persue my dream, I would work harder than any individual on the field to prove that the coach that believed in my ability got what he's been looking for and a whole lot more.
