Personal Statement
I started playing football when I was in third grade. My dad encouraged me to play, and he signed up to be one of the coaches. After playing that first season I developed a deep passion for it. I love the teamwork aspect involved in playing football. The offseason and preseason workouts are very challenging, but is well worth the work. There is no better feeling than running onto the field on game day/night, and compete against the opponent. My dad has always been encouraging and supportive. He stresses to have a high football IQ, and really learn the game. Playing football has made me more focused, and driven. I strive to always improve my abilities to compete at a high level. My goal is to play college football at the highest level I'm able to.
I take as much pride in my academics as I do my athletics. I have a 4.0 GPA while taking advanced honors classes. I have no disciplinary issues and represent myself and my school at the highest level. I am a student council member and volunteer at many community activities. I think I’m a positive influence for my classmates and teammates.
I also play baseball for my high school. I play third base, shortstop, and pitch. I led the freshman baseball team in batting with a .406 batting average.
