Personal Statement
My passion for football has been a foundation for me to build upon since my dad passed away. This tragedy forced me early on to learn how to endure challenges. I've looked to other ways of improving upon my weaknesses. I couldn't force myself to grow taller... but I found that wrestling could teach me to be stronger while track could teach me to move more quickly. When I was still pretty young, my team won a state championship, that taught me to never stop reaching for the stars. I am proud to have achieved above and beyond in athletics by pushing myself to become a top contender and a great asset to any team. My many coaches have repeatedly told me that I was "the backbone of this team" because I lead by example, and I am committed to improvement. I may not be the biggest, strongest, or smartest player/student— but I dare you to find someone who works harder than me on and off the field. Does being a multiple letter-varsity athlete inhibit me from going to regular tutoring to improve my grades? The short answer is "no, and it never will." Even though football will always be my passion, this alone will not make me an athletic trainer.
