Personal Statement

4.5 Star Kicker and Defensive Back.  I LED THE NATION IN TACKLES by a K/P combo and am 6th in the nation for a K or P who plays any defensive position. http://www.maxpreps.com/leaders/football/defense,tackles/stat-leaders.htm?classyear=all&position=p 
I was named to the North South All-Star Game as a Safety and played 3/4ths of all snaps.  I was a finalist and runner up in voting for NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK. http://bit.ly/1og0QCO   
I hold a 3.95 GPA.  My academic interests are in the Pre-Med, sciences, and mathematics.
Something personal about me:  I have a Law (Diabetes Care Act, HEA 1116) named after me and my efforts to establish it.  The law covers issues such as the right to carry and administer vital supplies anywhere at school, yearly training of all nurses and other important issues concerning Safety at School.  From that law, I became the State of Indiana's leading Youth Advocate for American Diabetes Association: 2005-Present.  In that capacity, I travel all over Indiana teaching school boards, principals, school staff members and parents on the law as well as other issues surrounding life with Type I diabetes. Additionally, I travel to both our state house and DC, talking to our members of Congress and members of national media, lobbying for grants and debating legal issues for those living with Diabetes.
