Personal Statement

I started playing football at five years old. The love of being able to play in college and hopefully after has been a constant motivation in my life. I moved from California to Indiana going into my freshman year and didn't know anyone or have any connections. That quickly changed because of the sport I love. Through dedication and skill set I caught the attention of my teammates and varsity coaches in my freshman year of high school. My sophomore year was a huge learning experience and turning point. I had to go from freshman ball straight to varsity and the change in pace of the games had forced me to adapt quickly. By playing as a 195 pound defensive end I had to learn how to compete at a higher level and adjust my technique during games to dig deep and overcome opponents who were 60+ pounds heavier than me. I have since gained 40 lbs during my junior year and improved my ability to play my sport and my position. I will be one to look out for because I have learned to mix or interchange both power and technique depending on what is in front of me. I also have the drive on and off of the field that pushes me to dig deep and strive to obtain my desired outcome in each situation, and life in general. My goal as a student athlete is to be able to go to college and secure a successful future for myself. Whether it be in football or what I want to major in, business. What sets me a part from my peers is that I strive to compete, and aim to enhance knowledge and perseverance in the classroom and on the field. I have achieved academically for my junior year of high school a 3.5 GPA by strictly focusing on my goals and aspirations of being the very best student athlete, and setting an example as a leader on my team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
