Personal Statement
I enjoy the challenges of both the classroom and the field. I would like to attend a school that fits my academic goals (education or business) and also will prepare me for life beyond football. I currently start at ILB and have been a QB and TE in the past. I can see myself transitioned into a DE or TE at the next level. I am currently working on my overall speed and hips/flexibility with a personal speed coach. I was 1st Team All-Conference last year in my first season playing defense since little league. I think it helps that I am the son and grandson of football coaches - it helps with my overall football IQ. I love watching film and breaking down an offense.
I have only been in the weight room for over a year and I"m still growing. I also play basketball, baseball (pitcher), and ran track last year. I was chosen as a team captain for 2018 by my teammates and am very honored and proud that I was chosen. It is a responsibility I take very seriously. As for team awards, I was awarded Defensive MVP and Best Linebacker Award last year. We played a 3-4 last year and we are playing a 4-2-5 this year. I have earned 1st Team All-Conference LB in 2017 and 2018. I have led the conference in tackles both years. I am currently 14th in the state in tackles with 132. In my 21-games at LB I have 248 total tackles and 21 TFL. I've been nominated to the All-State team and to play in the North-South All Star Game.
