Personal Statement
Football has been a passion of mine since the first grade. I remember watching Reggie Wayne play for the Colts every Sunday with my dad. From that point on, my life became nothing but football. I have dedicated countless hours to this sport, whether it be in the weight room, practice field, or the classroom. However, football has not only been a game to me but has also taught me to be a good teammate to everyone, including my opponents. Football has also taught me the importance of working together and helping others when the need arises. I use these skills in football as well as by being a member of National Honor Society, where I serve the people of my community and continue to build my leadership skills, while maintaining an above average GPA.
My goal for football and academics is to compete at the next level. I was the freshman team captain, as well as the varsity team captain my junior year. Going into my senior year, I still hold the title of varsity team captain at Terre Haute North High School. Leadership is very important to me, as it is necessary for success in any aspect of life. My work ethic, integrity, and passion for football, academics, and service are my most important characteristics, and I believe they will determine my success wherever I might continue my football and collegiate career.
