Personal Statement
I began playing football in the 8th grade, just because I thought it would help me lose weight. Eventually I became fond of the sport and wanted to be more committed to playing football. Last year I cut 50 pounds so that I could become more of an athlete in football. I played my best season on Junior Varsity last year but realized I could’ve been a better player. This summer I attended two camps, one being Ball State’s Individual Technique Camp. The other camp being the well known Bishop Dullaghan Football Camp. I learned a lot there and I am ready for the upcoming season. I am not currently a varsity player due to the fact that my team is senior-dense. Instead My coach has asked me to be a leader to the junior varsity and that is what I am. I am still getting few varsity reps and working on getting more by the end of my Junior year. I am a 3 year JV Player but I’m still working on improving as an athlete and a scholar.
My main collegiate goal is to play football and learn Exercise Science so that I can be a Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Football Coach. I would be a good candidate for your college football team because I have a passion for the game like no other. Most of my day consists of either playing or watching football. I may not be one of these incredible 4 star/ 5 star athletes that has started varsity since freshman year but I have that drive to be the best football player I can be. What separates me from other recruits is that I have the same drive for academic success as well as football success. I am not as athleticly gifted as other recruits, but that only increases my ambition and drive. I am always team first when it comes to sports. I have many passions and goals outside of football. A couple of them is that I like to hunt with my step father and showing rabbits at 4H.
I hope that my profile will prove useful in my recruiting process and that I can get some attention from college coaches. Please contact me, my mother, or my coach for any questions.
