Personal Statement
My first time playing football was my freshman year, my first game was horrible, getting run over and slammed every play. As a competitive person, that was my motivation. Football encouraged me to keep getting better, because I wanted to continue to improve and challenge myself. Junior year came, and I stood on my own while trying to encourage my teammates to keep going. Senior year was my best year, we always kept our heads up and always worked in drills when we could on weekends. I never let a game bring me down, and kept learning from every mistake. With school happening during football season, I continued to get slowly better at being a student athlete. Now it’s just a rhythm that I have gotten used to. Football benefited my academics, it got me to focus and strive in class. Keeping up with school and football helped motivate me to focus and try to understand more of what a teacher puts out.
