Personal Statement
My academic goals are to graduate from high school and college with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Education is important to me. I want to go to school to become a civil and environmental engineer.
I started playing football in 1st grade. I've played every year since then. After two years of high school sports, I have learned a lot more than I thought I ever would. During my freshman year, I had to learn a brand new position within a few weeks and then play varsity. After our 0-9 year of my Sophmore year, I learned some of the greatest life lessons. Nothing is worse than never winning. Then going back each week and working hard just to win one game, but coming up short every time. So the taste of never winning has transferred over into my junior year. That has driven my work ethic to its highest level yet. We went 4-5. It was not just a walk in the park to win a few games. It took lots of hard work, a great attitude, and a lot of time devoted to football, whether that be practice, film, etc. I also got 1st Team All-Conference Linebacker in my conference. One major life lesson I have learned through all my sports is, no matter what never give up. I've learned that whenever it comes to practice I always try my hardest to get better every day. Even if I'm having a bad I still have to do my best for the team. I also rarely have a bad attitude, I am almost always happy and have a positive attitude.
I am looking for a great college program that will push me academically and athletically. I believe I have not only the talent, but I also have the work ethic, attitude, and character to play for a college team. I know it will take a lot of hard work, but I know I am ready and very excited for it.
