Ever since starting football in 7th grade, I've had the desire to continue to grow in every aspect of the sport and continue to have fun. Playing football has taught me trust, teamwork, commitment, and leadership. My goal on the field is to be a key contributing member and also to help my teammates reach their full potential. I feel I grew the most as an athlete after having knee surgery right before the start of my sophomore year. It taught me to never take the game for granted, to keep a positive outlook on the future, and to never stop reaching for your goals.
Most importantly, I strive to keep above a 3.8 GPA in the classroom. Not only am I looking for a program to push me as a player, but to challenge me as a student as well. My participation in National Honor Society has shown me how I can help my teammates in the classroom as well. In a team sport, I can only be as good as my team. Therefore I will always do my best to help my team in every way. I think my experience as a 3-sport athlete, being captain of the football team, and my character on and off the field would make me a great fit for any college program.
