Personal Statement
Growing up around sports and always being involved in them as a little kid due to my Dad being a varsity basketball coach my whole life, really made me passionate about sports. As I grew older I really enjoyed playing football. I think that it teaches you what a team is all about, how to be mentally strong, and how to grow as a person. Playing the sport teaches all those lessons on the field and then when you get outside of football it translates to your real life. I've found football really impacted in my life in a positive way. I believe that my work ethic, my character, and my competitiveness will make me a good asset for a college team. I'm really looking forward to transferring all those skills to a college that fits me both academically and athletically.
The biggest obstacle in my career so far was starting off the year not as a starter and just trying to find ways to get onto the field, then one of my teammates got injured and I stepped in as a starter. This really showed me what it takes to compete at the varsity level and how important studying the game is.
