Personal Statement
I am a hardworking young man who who was raised in a single parent home. I had to grow up a little faster than other kids my age, due to the extra responsibilities that were expected of me by mother. I learned a lot from watching my mom work endless hours in order to provide for me and my siblings. While my mother was at work I took care of my siblings which taught me leadership skills. I wanted to be a positive role model for them, and to do that meant leading by example and making wise decisions.
I was able to transfer many skills I learned at home to my athletics. I am a dedicated, self motivated, hardworking, coachable athlete who is willing to put in the time and effort it will take to play at the next level, even if that means giving up my free time to put in extra work on my own. I will continue to be a leader on and off the field.
My goal is to be the best athlete I can be, while obtaining the best education possible that will prepare me for my career in law enforcement.
