I have been around football from a young age. My father spent some time as an assistant High School Varsity Football coach. He coached the Offensive and Defensive Lineman and also served as the Defensive Coordinator.
Dad stressed the importance of fundamentals at a very early age when I started playing tackle football at the age of seven. Even at this age, dad emphasized understanding the entire play and not just my positional blocking assignment. So he and I would spend time learning every blocking position, not just my own.
I have loved this sport for so many reasons and I believe playing in college would be an amazing opportunity. Because of this, I would constantly be working to not squander it. I am always working hard to improve my craft. I am developing faster feet, I am getting bigger, and faster, and stronger. My coaches have described me as being a very coachable athlete. I believe this is one of the reasons why I have also been described as a leader. I know what it means to follow and follow well. I expect a lot out of myself and others follow that example.
I am a leader on the Offensive line as a Junior and also a leader for the team. I lead by example, and encourage my teammates. and I give them and my team everything I have on every play, in practice and in games. I work very hard and am not ashamed of setting and pushing the pace for myself and even for the others around me.
In the classroom, I have maintained a high GPA. I volunteer for my youth group, youth football camps, wrestling club and various community teams. I am also a leader in an organization known as Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
I want to attend a college where I can get a meaningful degree and set myself up to be successful in life, while playing football at a highly competitive level. Thanks for considering my ability and possible contribution to your organization.
