Personal Statement
From the time I was able to walk, I was working. The standing joke was that I always had a “project.” Whether it was helping Dad with yard work or pitching in scooping snow at my grandparents house, I was always busy with a job. That work ethic has continued over the years and can be witnessed through my academic career and my activities on and off the football field. It is what sets me apart from others.
In school, I have been enrolled in Pegasus, the Talented and Gifted program, since I was in 3rd grade. By exceeding the standards for my grade level, I was able to advance to higher level classes in junior high and high school. To meet my athletic goals, I have dedicated myself to weight lifting and conditioning both in-season and off-season. I religiously attend early morning workouts before school and in the summer.
In addition to my academic and athletic pursuits, I also maintain a summer job doing road construction. This has allowed me to learn some real-world lessons while refining my character. It’s given me a strength beyond what dumbbells can provide.
I am committed to becoming the best athlete and student I can be. I will continue to work until I meet my goal of becoming a college athlete and earn my college degree.
