Personal Statement
Athletics have always been a part of my life. Whether it was learning the fundamentals in youth leagues, or competing as a high school athlete, team sports have had a role in making me the person I am today. Recently it has became clear to me that I wanted to try and make the most of my education and experiences and become the best athlete I can and maybe become a coach someday. It is quite clear that sports, at any level, have become a major part of our society. I am enthusiastic about contributing to programs and offering my skills and game education and drive to compete at the next level.
Playing for a competitive sports and a high level and against player at the highest level has helped me improve and sharpen my skills and knowledge of the game allowing me to participate at the next level. Since I was 4 years old I started playing Flag football and noticed that I was always the biggest, strongest and one of the fast players on the field. When I turned 8 I decided that I wanted to start playing tackle football but I wanted to play against players in Omaha because around here that is the best competition. I notice quickly that I could play with anyone. I played QB/LB when I was young and also Played Baseball as a Pitch/CF. Football and in baseball I always played with an age group higher than me to make my self better. Once I got to junior high I was playing football, baseball and basketball and still do in high school. I decided I no longer wanted to play QB and was kind of too big to play LB so I switched to DE/TE. As a freshmen I won the schools freshmen player of the year as well as being called up to varsity before the playoffs.
I always strive to develop good sportsmanship, a competitive spirit, and school loyalty among all teammates. Active learning and hard work have been prevalent in my progress. My ability to interact with players and coaches, and administrators of different personalities has proved successful in my development as a student athlete. I am passionate about continuing to play at the highest level as well as trying to get a good education.
