Personal Statement
"The biggest disappointment in life is missed opportunity." I feel this saying really resembles the family I have come from. My mom was a single parent while she attended college and had hardly any support. I saw her endure struggles, fear, and hard work I could never imagine in college with a small child; however she endured all for me to have the opportunities she hopes are for me one day. I feel I have the opportunity to do something great in this world, and I do not want to miss out on an opportunity I could have taken. So, taking opportunities where they are available, even at times seeming unattainable and unfathomable at the time, I feel will set me apart from others. While others turn away from the unknown and unsure, I leap and have faith that all will in the end lead to the best life with no regrets my mom has talked about that has been instilled into me as a young man. I am a hard worker and put everything I have into it, no matter how small the task. You can tell a man by his actions, and I know the way I am on and off the field shows what kind of person I am in this world. I am first a gentlemen, a son, a student, and finally an athlete.
