John Goodnight '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a two year starter at the Varsity level going into my junior year. I have recorded around 160 total tackles in my freshman and sophomore seasons, as well as setting my school's sack record as a freshman. The situation that I came into on my team put me in a position that forced me to become a leader on my defense as an underclassman, and demand respect and trust from my older peers. Over the past two seasons I have been named 2nd team all league for both years, as well as honorable mention all state both years as a Linebacker. I was named team defensive player of the year both years as well. In college I hope to not just see the field, but to outwork and outplay my competition,  while getting my degree and receiving a great education.  My coaches have always appreciated my hard work in the classroom, I have a 4.2 GPA with honors and AP classes, as well as a 26 on my first ACT test.
