Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is Brock Dowler. I am a 6'2, 205 lb. Senior attending the Class 5A Arkansas City , Kansas HighSchool. Currently my GPA is 3.03 and I am strongly committed to making the most of my future academically and physically.
My lifelong dream has been to play College Football. My career first started when I was in 1st grade Rec League where I had great success being a starting player as a Tailback and Quarterback. As I grew stronger and faster and taller upon entering HighSchool I earned the QB starting Varsity position as a Sophomore for our 5A school. Earning Honorable Mention as a Quarterback in our AVCTL Div. II for Performance. Our team here in ArkCity runs the Wildcat, therefore I am a dual threat Quarterback that loves to run and throw.
I have learned to overcome the minor inconveniences in the game of Football as my collarbone was injured the 2nd game into my 2015 season. Just a little setback for a major comeback.
The Summer of 2016 was a very dedicated one as I chose to spend everyday in the weight room. I attended 5 Camps with the main goal being to learn and grow as a Quarterback and a Leader on and off the field.
My Senior year of play was a very successful one. My career high game recorded 285 rushing yards on 32 carries, 5TD's and passed for 195 yards.
With a lot of hard work I was awarded 2nd Team QB in the AVCTL Div. II League. I finished the season strong with a total of 1347yds. Passing, 1213yds. Rushing and 15TD's.
In my spare time I enjoy golfing and spending time with family and friends. My Sophomore year I placed 11th overall in the Class 5A Kansas State HighSchool Golf Tournament. My Junior year I was also honored to attend the Kansas State Golf Tournament.
Being a very focused and dedicated sportsman I will always strive to be the greatest at everything I do. In the upcoming months I will be working hard to get stronger mentally and physically so that I can perform and succeed at the next level.
