Personal Statement
From the day that I was born, I have had a football in my hand – my older brother’s and dad have made sure of that. I’ve been playing rec. league football since I was in 3rd grade. At first I really didn’t like it because I was a linemen and I got hit hard, which wasn’t much fun. I was able to play football in 7th grade for our middle school team – this year I will also play as an 8th grader. Football is a part of small town life, all us kids wanted to be like a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. I really like football because it’s a way for my life – I am a team player and work great with others– I listen and have learned something very useful from all of the coaches I have had over the years.
I’m not in those advanced Math classes but I’m really smart, I have a high GPA. I work as hard as I can and to maintain a high GPA and teachers love me. I always try on and off the field, I work out with weights 3 days a week (My brother, who is a football coach at Augusta High School, gave me a workout) I then do conditioning exercises 5 days a week. I want to fulfill my dream of playing professional football.
Sports is not just about being good on the field, when I’m at school I keep my head in the books and I am STUCO president and participate in volunteering for my community. I want to be great! If you give me a chance I will show you what you brought me there for!
