Personal Statement
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. First, let me say it would be an honor to play the sport I love for a college committed to academic and athletic excellence. I come from a family of college graduates who've instilled in me the importance of education and being a positive contributor to society. For this reason, I aspire to teach math at the high school or collegiate level, helping others gain an appreciation for math and possibly opening their eyes to many career options that they would normally shy away from because of the math requirements.
My intellect transfers to the field as well. I have a high football I.Q. which stems from my photographic memory. I play at a high level on both the offensive and defensive line and enjoy whatever playing time I'm given as a tight end. I also play basketball and run track for my high school. At 6'-2", 270 lbs, I'm described as an aggressive and relentless leader with quick hands and feet. Coaches rely heavily on me as a game-changer and team motivator. I know my athletic performance will hold true for any college that selects me to play for its team.
My leadership extends off the field as well. I serve as a youth leader for Life Mission Church in Olathe. I was president of my freshmen class and Vice President-Elect for my sophomore class. I am also currently pursuing the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Serve God and serve others is my motto. I am responsible and a good decision-maker, and I would respectfully represent any collegiate institution. Again, thank you for reading my profile, and I hope you will consider me for your school.
