Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was 11 years old. My primary goal is to gain a quality education. At a minimum, I plan to complete a four-year degree in an interest related field that will provide an opportunity to help and inspire others. In addition, I feel that being a student athlete is something I am passionate about and it will open up more doors.
Specifically, being part of a team requires leadership, being coachable, and always having your team members back. Additionally, my ability to see the playing field, my reaction-time, and experiences in diverse positions makes me a good candidate for my current and future team. I also feel that it is important to set a good example for others as a role model in school and in the community. One way I do this is by avoiding drugs, alcohol, and parties. In my current school, I believe you can be considered popular and a good role model without doing these things.
In addition to sports and school, I am working a part-time job and attending academic tutoring to support my academic and ACT goals.
Finally, I feel that academics and sports require balance, hard work, and dedication.
