Once in my Tofel class last year, my junior year, we had a mother come into our class with the simple task of teaching us about diabetes. It got deeper than that when we met her daughter who has type 2 diabetes, which of course left us very shocked by knowing her day by day situation and the suffering that it provokes to her family members. I definitely wanted to help.
Initially, I felt so astonished about the impotence they all may feel by having no choices. Luckily at that time, my engineering teacher taught us about precisely the same topic, diabetes. “Biomechanical engineering is the study of artificial body organs and members”, she said. I got totally inspired by the subject, because I love to help devastated people, letting them out of heartbreaking situations, fixing the unfixed, that's me.
I see myself as the best prospect as I have had perfect academic skills through all high school. From 7th grade to 10th I was onthe honor roll, at 11th grade I got into the dean's list (first semester) and president’s list (second semester). This senior year is taking the same path as well. At a young age my father inspired me to play the sport he most liked and the one I came to love. I have been playing football since I was eiyears old, getting numerous lessons about how hard life can be on you. Ill say, I came out very disciplined and with character, but still developing a great personality, my friends said.
It was 2019 when I had the honor to join for my first time the Panama Sharks Selection to play against the Dallas Cowboys Junior Selection in the 2020 international bowl, bringing back the victory of the time. Again in 2021 we played against the Queretaro Mexico Selection, totally dominating. In my junior year, I got a sports scholarship for football and got to improve physically and mentally in my game, because of that, I would be an important addition for my next team for sure.
What drives me and has made me through all this is the idea of never letting myself down. Through time you can see how people have failed and I have told myself that I don't want to be one of them. I always get inspired when hearing about powerful leaders, the geniousessn the successful ones, but I am totally looking for a good way or type of usefulness.Though it is not just a thing of accomplishing business, miy goals go toward, emotionally for me as for orders. I believe in family.
