Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Jared Stevens, and I am from Lovely, KY. I attened Sheldon Clark High School in Inez, Ky and I play Offensive Line. I have started on the Offensive Line since my sophomore year. I have had varsity experince at all 3 positions but my primary position is offensive tackle. I believe at the next level that I would make a good Guard or Center. Growing up, I was always a center due to my footwork and knowledge of the game. In high school, my size moved me over to guard, and eventually tackle. I would love to have my education paid for while playing football at the next level, although, I am very willing to take a walk on spot.
Over the summer, I spent almost all of my time either training, or at a camp sharpening my skills as an offensive lineman. I trained at IMG Maaden Football Academy in Bradenton, Florida. While there, I was named IMG / Gatorade Player of the Week, as well as selected to the 2012 IMG All Madden Team. I also had the opputunity to showcase my talents over this summer, and the summer prior to that. Some of those camps were:
- - NUC Ultimate 100 Camp my Sophomore and Junior Year
- - NUC Top Prospect Development Camp my Sophomore Year
- - 2012 Junior Rank Prodigy Camp my Junior Year ( Aired on CBS Sports )
- - 2012 IMG All Madden Camp my Junior Year
After what I believe was a successful season for my team, as well as myself, I was awarded:
- - All State Hinorable Mention
- - Invited to play in the 2012 NUC All American Senior Game where I started as a guard,
- - All Region
I believe with my work ethic, as well as my determination, I would be a good fit for a Division 1-A program, as well as any level.
Once in college, I would like to stduy Psychology, and one day, become a sports psychologist. I would love to always be involved in sports, even after college.
