Personal Statement
I am a transfer student and have been released from my previous college and given permission to contact (these letters are accessible in my profile through the "athletics" section). I currently attending a local community college working on gen ed classes. I have 3 seasons of eligibility to offer. I would like to go to a university which is serious about football, winning, and pushing athletes to be the best they can be while getting a good education! Although my primary positions are running back and linebacker I am open to any position where I am needed and can contribute. I am a play maker on both sides of the ball. At 5'11", 215 pounds, and running a 4.46 forty it is hard to bring me down. Yet, at the same time I am fast and strong enough to bring them down. I am a leader and a motivator! I have always had great relationships with my teammates and coaches and have built strong, lasting friendships with them. They can count on and depend on me, both on and off the field. I attended Lexington Christian Academy, the 2009 state football champions, in Lexington, Kentucky, my freshman and sophomore years where I started at varsity linebacker, leading the team in tackles my sophomore year. After my dad was relocated with his work I transferred to Breathitt High School, in Jackson, Kentucky, for my junior and senior years, where I continued starting at linebacker and also took on first team responsibilities at running back, kickoff returner, punter, and sometimes place kicker. Both teams were ranked in the state all four years. I was team co-captain my senior year, selected to the Kentucky All Star team as well as 3rd Team All State at linebacker, won my weight class in our annual lift-a-thon (finishing second overall), and was awarded the 110% award, leadership award for both football and basketball, and MVP by the votes of my teammates and coaches. I am open to talk to any and all coaches and will consider any college which shares the same philosophy about the game. I am planning on studying sports management or education, along with coaching so I can instill in young athletes the same love and commitment to the game of football I have.
