Sage Darbonne '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sage Darbonne. I am a 6’ 1”, 275lb Senior at Beau Chene High School in Arnaudville, LA. I play Center and DT but also played other positions as needed. I am a 4-year Starter and for most games I was a two-way player for the whole game.

I love football and have been playing since before I was nine years old. I have played youth football and select football before playing Junior Varsity and Varsity High School football. I was a Starter on the Varsity team for ALL 4 years of High School. I have always been aspired to play at the collegiate level and I know that playing at that level will fulfill one of my lifelong goals that I am pursuing. I take school and football very seriously as it is an opportunity that should not be taken lightly.  

I have always worked at improving my skills with the vision of playing at the next level. I have played several positions; one of them as Center. As Center I was a team leader and I lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I get along very well with all my teammates and coaches and I am very coachable and motivated. I also strive to be one of the hardest working players. It will be hard to find a more motivated and dedicated hard working recruit than I.

I want to attend a college where I can improve myself both in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to ALL options and want to find the right college that will allow me to play at the highest level of competition possible. In that role, I will be able to become a great role model to all my peers, upcoming younger players and to make my family proud.
