Lamar Louis '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0", 210lb running back/linebacker from Breaux Bridge, LA. I played Freshman, JV, & Varsity during my Freshman Year, starting at the position of running back and linebacker for both Freshman and JV teams. Late in my Freshman year, I was added to the varsity squad, as a running back. In my sophomore year, I earned the starting linebacker position. In addition, I played on special teams and played running back during critical times throughout the season. At the end of the season, I was named to the All-District Second Team for Linebacker and listed as a Parish Leader for St. Martin Parish for running back. Prior to the start of my junior year, I transferred from Breaux Bridge High School to Tuerlings Catholic High School, deeming me ineligible to compete athletically for one year. I had a very successful summer with the Nike Opening 7 on 7 Championship and the ESPN Rise Gridiron Kings Championship as evidence.  I look forward to championship senior season.   I consider my strengths to be leadership, dedication, versatility. My faith keeps me strong and I often share words of encouragement and inspiration with my fellow teammates. I am self-motivated and have a reputation of staying focused on the task at hand. Practices and film days are as important to me as games days. I look forward to constructive criticism, as I am always trying to get better. I am a versatile player in that I played on offense, defense, and special teams. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding reputation for both academics and athletics. My desire is to attend a school where I can make an immediate impact on the team. Though the majority of my playing time has been at the linebacker position, I believe my strengths are at both positions.
