Ever since I started playing football I wanted to be a quarterback. I was always overlooked for the spot. Even as a freshman, I didn't get the opportunity to show off the talent I knew I had. When sophomore year came around I became the JV quarterback. Our varsity team started 0-6 and needed a change. I got bumped up to starter in the 7th game of the season. We won that game and the next two. As one of the last seeds, we made the playoffs and lost out in the second round. I finished my high school career with a 24-5 record as a starter and the most wins for a quarterback in school history.
I will never quit when things get hard. I am not the most vocal person but I am a leader. People follow me because I lead by example and will say what needs to be said to keep my teammates in line when necessary. There are no behavior or off the field problems with me. I have maintained a 3.6 GPA throughout high school and have a score of 28 on the ACT.
Playing college football, at any level, is my goal. I am hoping it will be my ticket to college so I can attain a degree in business. I am easily coachable because I love learning the game of football. Learning new things about defenses and ways I can improve my game excite me. I think and talk about football constantly. So much so, I get asked by my brother and friends all the time if anything else goes through my head. I really want to continue to play the sport I have put so much time and effort in ever since I can remember. I am ready to get better. Putting me on your team is a smart decision and a safe one.
