First and foremost, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Darnevin Camille. I've played varsity football for Thomas Jefferson High School of Gretna, Louisiana for all four years of my high school career. I play both sides of the ball at defensive back and running back. I prefer playing defensive back because the guys at those positions have a certain swagger about them that I bring to the field every game and practice. But don't get me wrong, I love scoring touchdowns at running back as well. Although my passion for football is the greatest, I love playing basketball and competing in track. I am also varsity at those sports as well. To go along with that, I take my education very seriously. I have a 3.2 GPA and a 26 on the ACT. I'm an honor roll student who is looking to get his bachelor's degree in business and communications. I'm currently in student government and class treasurer. I see myself as a leader in the school, who wants to see others prosper. All that being said, I'm just your average kid with a dream of playing collegiate football. Most people tell me that playing college football is unlikely and I should focus on other dreams and aspirations. Thank you but no thank you. The people who tell me things of that nature are the reason I play with a certain chip on my shoulder that I believe no one else has. Many can doubt my size, but no one can doubt by passion for the game and my drive to get better. I can promise any coach that putting me on their team will only make their team better. I love pushing my teammates and seeing them play at their best. I believe my unselfishness is one of my greatest assets because it just improves morale in the locker room. My competitiveness will be unmatched cause i know I have the potential to be the best player on the field every snap. I know many coaches will read this and never look at it again. Read this and never give me chance. Thank you for adding another chip to my shoulder.
