Personal Statement
Focus, hard work and dedication define everything I do in life. I have always taken as much pride in my schoolwork as my athletic achievements. Maintaining a high GPA no matter the level of classes is very important to me. I do whatever necessary to reach my full potential as a student athlete. Doing so allows me to stay eligible on the field, set a positive example as a team leader and be there for my teammates when they need me most. No matter the sport, if there was a ball involved, I enjoyed the game and the competition. Growing up I’ve played football, golf, basketball and baseball. Baseball is my passion. It’s a game I love to play and a game that I excel at playing.
I started playing baseball at age 6 and primarily played catcher, second base and third base until the age of 14. At 14, at the urging of coaches, I stopped catching and focused on developing my skills as a shortstop(while still playing second base and third base)
I take great pride in being a team leader. I prepare for and expect success; I expect to win. Winning is an attitude. Winning is part of who I am. Given the opportunity to continue toward my goal of achieving excellence both in the classroom and on the diamond, doing what I love, would truly be an amazing experience and a blessing from God thank you for giving me the opportunity to expressing myself !
