Personal Statement
For as long as I remember, I have been in love with football. Ever since I was really young I have been pretty much addicted to football. Being a kid on the bigger, more built side, I always had a special place in my heart for it, and I still do as I always will. After the Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010, is when my life was starting to be surrounded by football. Being in New Orleans really helped as well because the city loves football as much as I do. For college, my main goals are to get my degree. I’m not 100% sure what I want to do yet but I am leaning towards journalism. I do however want to graduate on a full degree, get a stable job and start a family of my own.
What makes me a good candidate for a football team is not just my athletic ability, it is what I do as a leader. Stepping up in big games is a big deal, but what I believe is truly important for me and my teammates is a close relationship and leadership on and off the field. Being able to get into your teammates' heads in order to motivate and energize them into becoming the best person and the best player they can be is what I believe is truly most important for a football team.
What makes me different from other recruits is the type of person I am. Kids these days are so much different, doing drugs, vaping, stealing, threats, etc etc. For me, I try to remain humble in my life. I do all of my work, I don't even take the time and energy to think about all of the drug ideas, and I try to set an example not just for my teammates, but for everybody. Football is something that has impacted me and made into the person I am today. Personally, I think this is why I was truly made to play football.
