Personal Statement
My love of football began the first day I played flag football at Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana in kindergarten. Being part of a team, challenging myself, and getting to tackle someone are some of the things I loved then and still do today. I was able to join the varsity team at Calvary Baptist when I was in the seventh grade and was a part of the 2015 State Championship team.
In 2017, my family moved to Pineville, Louisiana, and I started as the defensive end on the football team at Pineville High School my sophomore year. I enjoyed getting to know new teammates and new coaches. I also like competing at the 5A level. I injured myself spring of my sophomore year and had to have surgery which took me out of play for my junior year. Not playing my junior year was devasting. I know how important junior year is for recruiting, and I hated not being on the field with my team. I have recovered, and I am ready to put it all on the field for my senior year.
God has used the challenges and successes I have had so far in my football career to develop my character. I don’t want my football career to end. I believe I have the strength, talent, and ability to play at the college level and would love the chance to prove it.
