Personal Statement

God, Family, School, and Football are absolutely my top priorities at this point in my life; I couldn't imagine life without any one of those things.  I have been playing football for as long as I can remember and from the minute I started, it became the sport of my life.  I've played a wide range of positions such as Wide Receiver, Quarterback, Fullback, Linebacker, Cornerback, Free Safety, but in high school I settled in with Strong Safety and Running Back. This year I earned ALL STATE HONORABLE MENTION ATHLETE, as well as 1ST TEAM ALL DISTRICT RUNNING BACK AND DEFENSIVE BACK AND 2ND TEAM ALL DISTRICT ATHLETE.  My junior year I earned 1st team All District, All Vernon, and All BDN honors at defensive back.     I am not the tallest or biggest, but I work as hard as I possibly can to improve the aspects of my game that I can control.  Ever since I was introduced to the weight room in junior high, I have been working constantly.  I am one of few in my school's history to break the 300 pound mark on the power clean exercise.  I also squat 475 pounds and bench 255 pounds.  My vertical has been measured at 35.7 inches. The fastest I have ever ran my 40 in is a 4.65, but my top end speed is something I need to improve.  I also pride myself on working hard in the classroom.  I have a 4.0 GPA and a 27 composite ACT score.  I plan on making a difference in this world, and I want to go to a school that can help me accomplish that.  The demographics or location of a school really isn't important to me.  I want to enroll in a school that can provide a great education and a give me a chance to continue my football career.
