Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was 7 years old. The summer before my sophomore season my coach asked me to change positions, from Wide Receiver to Quarterback. Since making the move, my record as a starting quarterback for JV and Varsity is 25-1 with the one loss coming in my Sophomore season.
I am a dual sport student athlete where I not only play football, but also enjoy competing as a RHPs on the varsity baseball teams.
Since I first stepped on the field, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I am always working to improve my skills as well as training to get bigger, faster and stronger. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players you'll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain 3.1 GPA. I often volunteer within our community. Most recently, helping families devastated by the historic flooding in Gonzales.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
Sincerely,
Halen Miller
