Being from a small town on the coast of Maine and in a football program that is less than ten years old, I have made significant gains in this arena. My football career began in middle school and have continued for the last three years in high school, with one more year to go. I have played many positions including RB, WR, KR, FS, and CB. Even though our team is in it’s infancy, I have used this time to achieve my own personal goals, while supporting my team.
When thinking about my future career in college and beyond, I would like to attend a college that will help me to become a well rounded adult. I would like to attend a college where I could be a member of the football team that would help me improve my skills. When in a game situation my mind set is to work hard to best help my team succeed. I am a hardworker on the field and this is shown by the successes I have achieved this past season. After the season I was awarded the MVP award for my work on the field as being a player that strives his best to get the job done. I know that in the next playing level, I can achieve the level of play that is required to make that team successful, while improving on my time, yards and athleticism.
After overcoming several injuries and not being an important part of the team, I have become a presence on both offense and defense. Even though our program is young and we are in the building years, my records on the field can compare to other players from programs that are well established.
I am looking forward to attend a college where my education can supplement my interest in sports and hope in the sport field.
