Personal Statement
I came to this country at the tender age of 6 years old from Ghana, west africa. I was raised to understand that nothing comes easy in this world and it takes hard work and dedication to accomplish any goal. I was introduced to football by my sister's husband to be. He is like an older brother to me. My freshmen year was the first time I played football as a team sport. I love every aspect of football and I know that only hard work and good grades will get me to playing at the next level. My dream is to one day play in the NFL but I understand that I must work hard now in order to set myself up to be successful towards that dream. I feel like I am a great candidate and asset to a team because I am very smart on the field and in the classroom. I am a team player and show my leadership on the field. I believe a leader is someone who leads by example. I apply 100 percent effort into everything I do whether it is football or academics. I currently have a 3.7 GPA and I am working hard to improve that in order to make myself more attractive to colleges and universities. I have a great character and no off the field issues. I come from a stable home with hard working parents and a good support system that only wants the best for me. My goal is to one day be able to take care of my family and the path to that goal starts now.
