Ryan Cammas '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal and aspiration is to continue to play quarterback at the collegiate level.  I am a leader on and off the field, a quick study, and encourage others to step up their game and try their best regardless of whether we are winning or losing.  What sets me apart from other recruits is that I play with passion, learn from my mistakes, but realize that I still have a lot to learn at the quarterback position.  I welcome challenges and aspire to be the best person I can be on and off the field.  This includes being accepted into the National Junior Honor Society; working and supporting diverse communities as a Boy Scout (Life Scout), and excelling at the quarterback position. 

My journey thus far has not been without obstacles. I had throwing mechanics issues when I started playing a few years ago and have worked on my own time with a private QB coach to find ways to improve.  We work in tandem now and I can often identify my own mistakes and make the corrections and this has helped me be a mechanically sound QB; however, I am not where I want to me.  To date, one of my proudest moments was being named starting quarterback and team captain for the USA Football Developmental Games in Canton, OH.  It proved to me that I can compete with the best and that the relationships I am building with both my teammates and coaches have helped me become a better player and teammate.
