Personal Statement
My name is Jake McGinnis, and I'm a 6'1" Middle Linebacker from Joppatowne, MD. I have started on the Joppatowne High School varsity team for 3 years and earned the following Defensive honors this season: All State-1st Team, All Metro-1st Team, All-County-1st Team, All Conference-1st Team and was named to the MD All-Star Crab Bowl Baltimore Team.
I am looking for a college where I can find the right academic and athletic balance. My academic interest is in biology and athletic training. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. In addition to Linebacker, I am also a Long-Snapper and am flexible to play other positions like FB or DE. I have a great instinctive knowledge and feel for the game that helps me to read plays and make the right tackles.
