Malaki Roy '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a Student Athlete from Sherwood High School. I played and started at Famed DeMatha High School my Freshmen and Sophmore years before transferring to Sherwood HS for my Junior and Senior year. I start at WR, CB, and run back Punts and Kickoffs. I am averaging 20 yrds a touch. I was recently selected to play in the 2012 Maryland State "Crab Bowl" which is the Top 100 players in the State. I was also written up by National CBS High School Recruiting Analyist, Tom Lemming of The Lemming Report as one of his Top 1200 Prep Football Players in the Country! I also received the following Recognition in 2012: Washington Post "All Conference" Team, Rivals Top 5 Receiver East Coast Showcase; Rivals 7-7 Wash Region Travel Team; Schumans Top 100 Athlete East Coast; Junior Rank National Proven Ground and FBU Top Gun Selection. I am a 2 year starter on the Varsity Football Team as well as Baseball where we won the 4-A Region Championship. I was the Starting Outfielder and Lead-off batter. I have a 3.0+ GPA with honor courses and scored 1420 on the SAT. I also received a 4.0 for the 1st quarter of my Senior year with Honor Courses! I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Communication and Digital Media. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the DI-AA, D-ll or NAIA level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities with a Commitment to Championship Football.
