McClain Butler '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is McClain Butler and I am currently a Senior at Liberty High School in Eldersburg, Maryland. I am 17 years old and I have had varsity experience since my freshman year of high school when I got pulled up from JV mid-season.  I am primarily a middle linebacker but I have experience at several positions. During my Sophomore Season, I led my varsity team in tackles and consistently stayed in the top 5 leading tacklers in the county. During my Junior Season, I led my varsity team in tackles and also led the county. During this season I lead the county in tackles and have 2 interceptions, 3 strips, and 2 fumble recoveries. I was selected as a top linebacker in Maryland by being selected to the BTC Super 22 team. I also am a 6x First Team All-County select between football and wrestling. I have a 3.9 GPA and my GPA will continue to rise. I am currently in all honors and AP classes.

During the off-season, I do varsity wrestling for my school. After the wrestling season I am going to continue to train to become bigger, faster, and stronger every day. As a Junior I have plenty room for improvement and I always appreciate constructive feedback. I plan to go to football camps over the summer at various colleges to increase my skills.   

Growing up, it has been my dream to play college football and I expect to make that dream come true. When I have a desire to do something I work hard until I succeed, and it is my desire to play college football and become an important asset to my team.
