Personal Statement
Hello Coaches, I am Sean Coverdale and I am 6'2, 270lbs, and have a 3.65 gpa. I am a 2020 DCL All-Star, 2020 Lineman of the Year, and captain from this upcoming 2021 fall season. Spring of 2021 I played in the Elite Football League for the South Shore Dragons. My measurables are listed in my profile. I model my game off of Aaron Donald as a 3-technique defensive lineman and also try to model my work ethic after his.
My goals in college are: 1) Academically - attend a school that will provide challenging course work in the field of Business/Finance to prepare me the future. 2) Athletically - compete in football at the highest level possible in a program that has a strong track record of success and pursuit of excellence which I share.
As a Sophomore, I was a two-way starter on the OL & DL this past season at Acton-Boxboro HS (MA Division 1). I was also the Long Snapper. So far this offseason, I have bulked up to 260lbs. Some key points about my HS career so far:
•I have a 3.6 GPA and am in the Accelerated Enriched program
•2-way starter as Sophomore on Division 1 team with 8-3 record
•Leader on the OL as I made all the line calls and directed teammates as to their assignments.
•Primarily OG & DT but am capable of all positions on the line.
•My playing style is sportsmanship with high intensity during play
•As a freshman I was the only one in my class to practice on the varsity full time. I made my way to varsity that year by taking personal initiative in August to challenge Juniors and Seniors to board drills and proving my ability on a 9-2 league championship team
