Tristan Hjermstad '19 Recruiting Profile

One of my goals and aspirations has always been to play college football and compete against the best players out there in order to challenge myself and push myself to the limits.  I have played football (pop warner, high school) for 12 years and positions ranging from Center to tight end and everything between. I have always played with the attitude of attack, high intensity, and never stop, I’m always at full speed until the play is done and the whistle is blown no matter the circumstances or score. I’m always eager to learn and in fact I have played many positions on the field in order to help the team.  I am a dedicated hard worker in the gym, classroom, and on the field. I believe one of my best traits for playing football is that I always put the team first and I will do whatever it takes to benefit the team no matter the cost.

            I understand that football is actually a year round sport, as I train year round to always improve myself physically. I train at 100 percent every time I’m at the gym or on the field working drills. I believe with these work habits will translate well to the college football arena.

            I also understand that football only lasts a short period, and that it why one of my main goals is to attain my college degree and set myself up for a successful and a fulfilling life. I look forward to meeting new people learning new things and making friends for life.
