Bernard Mulcahy '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bernie Mulcahy, I am a rising senior of the class of 2021 and I am captain of the varsity football team at Cohasset High School in Cohasset, Massachusetts.  I also play and captain the varsity hockey and baseball teams and I was recently elected by my athletic director to be a MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association) student ambassador. 

I believe I am an ideal candidate for your team and school because of my athletic versatility. I have clocked minutes at running back, receiver, corner back, punter, returner, defensive back, and linebacker. I’m willing and able to play wherever I am needed. (Earning me the“Hustle and Desire” award my junior year).  I was also named MVP of the 2019 Thanksgiving Day game recording three interceptions. (Five total for the year). I get along with everyone I meet, including teachers, students, coaches and teammates. Making me an extremely coachable player. 

I hope to get a great college education so I can go on to do big things in life. The key to doing that is staying physically fit and playing the sport I love. Football has made me a well rounded student and has helped me stay grounded and stress free. My dream is to play college football and to make my school, my parents and myself proud. I have watched with envy my fellow peers and teammates sit at the big table in the gymnasium signing their letters of intent. I can’t wait for my day at that table.
