Personal Statement
I have been playing football since i was in the 4th grade. I began wanting to play because all my friends played and i wanted to be a part of something more. I wanted to be a part of a bond that I knew football could give me. Watching the Patriots play on weekends or on Thursday or Monday with my dad was the highlight of my week when I was younger. My biggest influences in my life are my parents. They push me, and will me, to give everything that I have to the game. My youth coaches are really the ones who have made me the athlete I am today. People like Mark Pinard, Eric Davis, Rick Gibbons, and Russell Drew. These were my first youth coaches and they made me love playing football. They gave me a passion that I believe no other coaches could have given me. They became like a family to me. Thats what I love about this sport. The bonds you make are unbreakable. Your team doesn't just consist of teammates. It's your family.
My academic goal for high school is to graduate with at least a 4.0 GPA. I am an excelling student and plan to stay that way throughout high school. Being in all honors classes makes it more difficult but I love a challenge. My athletic goal for high school is to help my team win a second state championship. We lost in the first round of the playoffs 2 seasons ago and last season I can proudly say that I was the starting center for a football team that went to play for a state championship at Gillette Stadium and care out victorious. We’re losing a lot of key players this offseason and no one thinks we have the talent to win again. But I think we’ll prove all of the doubters wrong and take on the challenge. My goal is another ring.
