Personal Statement
My reason for wanting to play at the next level is my pure love for the game. My late father imbued in me a passion for football and when he passed from cancer, my older brother had me throwing daily passes since I was 8.
I see myself as a constant work in progress: I commit intense effort everyday to try to improve myself, not only as a player but as a person as well. To improve myself as an athlete, I am in the gym 5-6 days a week utilizing various workouts to become more explosive and more of a duel threat quarterback. Off season, I go to my local high school football field often with fellow football players and work on throws, as I aim to improve concepts and footwork.
Academically, I have always been an A-B student. I pride myself on being successful in the classroom. Remote learning during my freshman year did not serve me well. I am working very hard to make a come back from my freshman “covid” year; since the start of sophomore year with non-remote learning, my GPA has steadily increased.
I aspire to be the best leader and quarterback I can be. Being a student of the game is critical for me. Studying the game is just as important as practicing my on-field abilities. As a person, I strive to give back. Service matters to me. I can be seen in the streets of Boston talking with and sharing food with those who are homeless. I have served in Guatemala for a week, building pathways, clearing gardens, and just showing the orphaned kids love. The type of character and individual your program will get from me is a committed, coachable, hardworking and passionate team player. No day goes by without me trying to improve myself as an athlete and person.
